Moving into a bid area
Each of the areas of the country where this program is being implemented is referred to as a competitive bidding area. If you plan to move into a bid area and your address is changed with the Social Security Administration, you will become included in this program. Depending on the type of equipment or supplies you have, and how long you've had them, will determine if you will be required to change suppliers.
Moving out of a bid area
If you move to a non-bid area this program will no longer apply to you. You must be sure that your address on file with the Social Security Administration is updated.
